Took the 80-hour home inspector training course. It prepared me to confidently take the home inspector exam, and to start my own home inspection business if I so choose. Campus was in a centrally convenient location for students across Ohio. All necessary materials were included with the course. The instructor was highly knowledgeable, thorough, friendly, professional, and promoted an ethical approach to business practices. On top of that, the class was a lot of fun! Hard to imagine a better way to start out in home inspection.

Went through the 80 hour course and I can confirm that Jim is a great teacher full of practical knowledge about home inspection and about the industry and it's inner workings in general. Some of the most valuable knowledge I picked up had less to do with home inspection itself and more with how to navigate the industry.

I prefer an in person class to online and so many of the courses out there are online only. the biggest factor for me is I wanted to be present and in the room with my instructor as well as my fellow students.

We had great educational discussions about home inspection and business in general.

I feel a lot more confident after this class than I thought I would feel.

I took the 40 hour course and also completed the Peer Review inspection with Jim and a class of 8 students. I definitely recommend the school. Jim is super knowledgeable and brings years of experience to the table. We inspected 4 homes of different ages and in different conditions. Jim really knows his stuff and takes the time to explain "what" you are seeing, the "why" behind the problem and also how to properly write it up in a report. I recommend this school and Jim as an instructor to anyone new to the industry as well as those with experience.

I took the offered 40hr experience class back in April of this year. I recently received my license from the state and put my first inspection under my belt. I was happy with the class from the start and now after my first inspection I am even more pleased with the course. My instructor Jim was excellent, he took the time to focus on areas to make my inspections go smoothly and be professionally presented to my client. We spent alot of time working through our reports in class and that time paid off for me. My client and their realtor both commented on how pleased they were with the manner in which I worked through the property and the professional look of my final report. My reports would not be formatted the way they are without Jim's help. This is exactly what I needed from this course and I am extremely pleased. The 40 hour Curriculum of Experience class offered by HITI was great. The classroom presentations from Jim were highly informative and presented in a constructive manner. When questions came up they were answered clearly and concisely. For the onsite inspections Jim and his co-instructor Perry were very good about tips on how to be a better inspector.
