In this class we cover recent changes to Ohio's home inspection industry. Find out what the Ohio Home Inspector Board is discussing and what changes they have made to the law. We review some of the complaints the Division of Real Estate has received against home inspectors. We cover areas of the Ohio home inspector law that are often missed or misunderstood. Additional topics may include: trends and changes to the real estate industry that effect home inspectors, trends and changes to local laws that effect home inspectors, timely information from home inspector insurers to help us avoid claims, and using AI in our home inspection business. Plumbing System I (4 hours CE) $45
This is part one of our plumbing system course. You are not required to take both parts. We first answer what is the plumbing system then review Ohio’s standards of practice for plumbing. Water service and distribution pipes, plumbing fixtures (faucets, tubs, showers, sinks, and toilets), and hot water supply systems are all covered in part one. Heating Systems (4 hours CE) $45
We start with how heat transfer works and how the combustion process works. We cover Ohio’s standards of practice for heat systems. Gas appliance categories, gas forced-air furnaces, floor and wall furnaces, vented and unvented room heaters, category I vent systems, category III and IV vent systems, oil burners, and electric heating systems are all covered including the deficiencies we look for. Air Conditioning Systems (3 hours CE) $35
We begin with how air conditioning systems work. Learn how the compressor, condenser, evaporator, and refrigerant work together to create cool air.
